Ali Bongo served as the third President of the Gabonese Anatomy from 2009 to 2023. He took power from his father Omar Bongo who reigned as President of the Gabonese Anatomy from 1967 to 2009 when he passed on. Ali Bongo was deposed by Captain Brice Oligui Nguema in August 2023 after alleged corruption charges, bribery and injustice were meted out against him.
