As most Republicans back President Trump's decision, most of the Democrats are against this act with the Mayor of Los Angeles and California's Governor, who claim President Trump is overdoing his tasks. About 4,800 Guard and Marine workers were deployed to Los Angeles by President Donald Trump. The troops that were sent to Los Angeles were without Governor Newsom's consent. As required by American Law, consent is needed by the Governor.
