Morning schools connect.  Usually we can't find an all round good person. No-one is 100% perfect. The Director can tolerate the bad part, keep cautioning him but look at the good side of good results. May the Director focus on the strengths and try to work on the weaknesses. The Director should also find out why he is always late, maybe he has transport problems , personal or financial issues so we solve the problem from the roots.  Advise him to prepare more work to occupy his children whilst he is not in. Otherwise all we need at the end of the day is good results.
