Driver (Class 1) Silveira High School Fixed Term Contract (Renewable) Silveira High School under the Catholic Diocese of Masvingo is looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join the team. Applicants are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above post: Key Duties and Responsibilities - Transporting clients and/or packages to and from destinations. - Safe Vehicle Operation - operating the vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. - Route Planning- planning efficient routes, considering road conditions, traffic delays, and weather. - Vehicle Maintenance - conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, record findings, report any defects or maintenance needs and maintain vehicle cleanliness. - Paperwork and Log Book Maintenance: maintaining a log book, accurate records of shipments, mileage, fuel consumption, and complete all necessary paperwork. - Advise supervisor of upcoming compliance expiration (e.g. ZINARA, ZBC, Insurance) - Ensuring that safety precautions are taken when driving the staff members/clients. - Customer Service - providing an exceptional standard of service to customers, including addressing questions and requests and interacting with clients professionally at all times - Arriving at destinations on scheduled times. - Use navigation applications to determine the best route Qualifications, Experience and Skills - Valid Clean Class 1 National Driver's licence - Valid Defensive Driver Certificate - A minimum of five (5) Ordinary level subjects including English Language. - At least five (5) years’ experience as Class One (1) driver in the passenger industry - Aged between 35 to 55 years - Punctual and trustworthy person Application Procedure: Interested and qualified candidates should email their application letter, detailed CV, relevant certificates and recommendation letters from previous employer(s) to [email protected] with "Class 1 Driver" as the subject line.
