Now Hiring: Business Analyst – Human Resource Systems Location: Onsite, Darwin, NT Contract Period: 01 July 2025 – 31 December 2025 Work Type: Full-Time, 8 hours/day (Monday–Friday) Submission Deadline: 23 June 2025 About the Opportunity: Cloudstreet Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst on behalf of the Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) – Across Government Systems to join their Support and Development Team for the NT Government’s [Application Name] HR system. This 6-month contract is focused on revitalising leave automation processes within the NT Government’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS), streamlining operations, reducing manual processing, and aligning system capabilities with modern enterprise agreement entitlements. Key Responsibilities: - Analyse and document business and systems requirements related to NTPS leave processes. -Engage with stakeholders across departments to gather, refine and validate requirements. -Develop functional specifications for enhancements to HR leave workflows. -Contribute to testing and training documentation for system changes. -Collaborate with payroll, HR, and IT teams to implement automated leave processing aligned with enterprise agreements. -Work alongside third-party software vendors and internal teams to ensure compatibility and sustainability of changes. Project Background: The NT Government is working to automate a greater portion of leave entitlements for Northern Territory Public Sector (NTPS) employees, reducing reliance on manual payroll processing. Although leave requests appear automated through myHR and other systems, approximately 60% of applications still require manual intervention, particularly due to legacy logic and gaps in business rule integration. The variety and complexity of leave types (recreational, personal, miscellaneous, long service) and enterprise agreements across NTPS demand updated system logic and enhanced automation strategies. This project is a crucial step in aligning HR systems with legislative and operational realities.
