#breakingnews State withdraws Fraud case against Moses Mpofu and Mike Chimombe as trial was due to start. The two were arrested over allegations of fraudulently getting a lights tender from Harare City Council. The withdrawal means Chimombe has one pending case of allegations of fraudulently getting a USD$87 million goat tender, while Mpofu has two cases, one involving the goats and another a bio gas deal with Harare City Council. Mpofu a businessman and Chimombe a ZANUPF central committee member have been in remand prison for over 11 months on charges of fraud. The case of goats 🐐 in Justice Kwenda’s court also appears to be collapsing.
