The Lagos State Government has revealed that the state s¥ffers an annual economic loss of over N4 trillion due to severe traffic congestion, with residents losing an average of four hours daily in gridlock. Speaking on TVC News, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Mr. Sola Giwa, highlighted the urgent need to streamline logistics and improve road safety. As part of the state’s response, he announced the introduction of an Electronic Call-Up (E-Call-Up) system for all tankers and articulated vehicles operating along the Lekki-Epe corridor, effective Monday, June 16, 2025. Under this new arrangement, all drivers of such vehicles entering Lagos to load or offload goods must register and schedule their movements via the E-Call-Up platform.
