The death here doesn’t mean you will die, it means you will achieve the same results as the dead. Your mind cannot produce anything that is life. So there is no difference between you and the dead. We have dead men in the grave and dead men walking. The first devil is the flesh and not satan. If you can kill your flesh you can handle satan. Galatians 5:19 are things you must let your life fight otherwise you will fight life and peace. Anyone functioning in these acts cannot have a share in the glories of God. Repent, the greek word means change your mind. So if your mind is carnal, change it to be spiritually minded otherwise you can live this week as a dead man. How many times haven’t you said you won’t fornicate again but you end up going back. There is a force that must be arrested. Sometimes you feel like smoking but you don’t have to give your mind to it. What the mind gives authority to is the one that reflects action. Godliness and purity is when the mind is given to the law of God. You have no idea the things you are losing when you engage in the acts of Galatians 5. You have nothing to protect that is why you still fornicate and drink alcohol. You must protect your glory from this realm. Life will always give way to death. You life and glory is at stake to what we call simple marital issues. What does it take to smile and forgive, to protect life. One anger can make a whole day useless as though you are in the grave. The title man of the house can let you lose your glory. The sacrifice is that there should be peace so that life can prevail. The true blessedness of our existence on earth is purity and holiness. Things begin to work if you refrain from these acts in Galatians. 5 minutes prayer, one declaration works but to combine these acts and prayer it doesn’t work. What the mind buys into will eventually be the action of the day. If the mind collaborates with the spirit, the actions and the results of the day will be the things of the spirit but if the mind collaborates with the flesh, you will do things and you will realize that the actions of the day will be according to the laws of the flesh. The spirit is at war with the flesh. The fight between the spirit and flesh, the referee is the mind so it is not that the holy spirit didn’t try to help you but then your mind has the final say.
