📜 Statement by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution: *Some criticisms of “Waʿda-ye Ṣādiq” stem from lack of information / Avoid slander and portraying dead-ends in your criticisms* --- 🔹Remarks from the Leader during a Ramadan meeting with university students: 1️⃣ On uninformed criticism: 🖋 *"One of my recommendations is that some of the criticisms made by students toward officials arise from lack of awareness. For example, someone might say: ‘Waʿda-ye Ṣādiq (the Operation) was not carried out at a certain time, but at a later one. If it had happened earlier, a certain incident might not have occurred.’* This is not a correct conclusion. Those responsible for such operations are no less committed, devoted, and prepared than me or you. They cannot be accused unjustly. Their actions are based on careful calculation and planning. If you were in their place, you would likely make the same decision. Always consider this possibility in your mind: do not hastily accuse individuals." --- 2️⃣ On the difference between criticism and slander: 🖋 "Last year, one of my key recommendations was that you should criticize. There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism. However, criticism is not the same as slander. Be careful: when criticizing, do not accuse anyone unjustly. It is fine to raise questions or express ambiguities, as this allows for answers and clarifications. Sometimes, though, the other party may not be in a position to respond—either due to lack of time or certain constraints. In such cases, even expressing doubt may not be appropriate." --- 3️⃣ On avoiding a sense of hopelessness: 🖋 "When criticizing, be careful not to create an image of dead-end scenarios. Meaning, don’t express your criticism in a way that ordinary people listening to it begin to feel there is no way forward. This is a serious issue.
