Four suspects were arrested today, 14 June 2025, in a Hawks-led operation with the Department of Home Affairs. They're accused of running an illegal racket selling passports and key state documents. Over 226 passports were seized — allegedly sold for R3,000 each. Officials also found fake divorce decrees, death certificates, ID applications and abridged birth certificates. The operation is far from over, with more arrests expected.
