Devotional 000131 Rhema Bows to Logos — PERIOD. Main Text: Psalm 138:2 (KJV) “…for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” Greek Insight: Let’s break it down: • Logos (λόγος) = the written, eternal, unchanging Word of God — Scripture, doctrine, Christ Himself. • Rhema (ῥῆμα) = the spoken, specific word — revelation, prophetic word, timely download. Both are powerful. Both are divine. But only one is the final authority: Logos. Because God does not contradict Himself. Every Rhema must bow to Logos or it’s not God — it’s your feelings in fancy language. Devotional Thought: Sis, just because it sounds spiritual doesn’t mean it’s biblical. You felt a Rhema, a whisper, a word — but did you check the Logos? If your Rhema gives you permission to disobey Scripture, rush God, dishonor authority, or cut corners… it’s not Rhema. It’s rebellion in tongues. Let’s be honest: Some of us use “God told me” to override accountability. We use “a word I received” to silence wise counsel. We declare prophecies that don't pass the Logos test, and then call people “haters” when they challenge us. Jesus Himself — THE living Logos — quoted Logos to Satan. He didn’t say, “I feel led.” He said, “It is written.” The prophetic is powerful, but it is never above the Word. You don’t graduate from Scripture to supernatural vibes. You measure every Rhema BY the Logos. And if your Rhema can’t pass that test — delete it, don’t decree it.
