*Dear CHO Colleagues,* We are proud to share a crucial development that reaffirms our value, our contribution and our rightful place in India’s public healthcare system. *The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) Government of India* in its latest official communication *(dated 20th May 2025)* has clearly acknowledged the critical role of CHOs in the success of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAM) and Comprehensive Primary Health Care delivery under the Ayushman Bharat mission. *👉🏽 Key Highlights from the Letter:-* 1. MoHFW has strongly advised Karnataka to reconsider the removal of CHO posts and prioritize their role in AAMs. 2. It emphasizes the need to fully staff AAMs with CHOs to ensure delivery of NCD care, mental health, RCH services, and more. 3. It recognizes CHOs as frontline healthcare leaders, trained across multiple service packages to deliver quality care to citizens at the grassroots. This is a direct response to our long-standing struggle, unity, and persistent efforts through our CHO Union.✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽 & *A powerful message has come from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Government of India). For the first time, the central government has officially recognized our importance and questioned the removal of CHO posts in Karnataka.
