4*(a)** (i) Two types of timber suitable for producing the money box: 1. **Plywood** – Lightweight and easy to shape. 2. **Mahogany** – Strong and durable with an attractive finish. (ii) Two suitable joints for assembling the body to the base: 1. **Dovetail joint** – Provides strong interlocking for durability. 2. **Lap joint** – Simple and effective for securing the base. (iii) Two different tools for cutting the slot: 1. **Chisel** – Allows precision cutting. 2. **Tenon saw** – Useful for making straight and clean cuts. **(b)** Correct sequence for making the money box: 1. **IV** - Measure and mark out the workpieces. 2. **V** - Cut the workpieces into sizes. 3. **VI** - Prepare the joints. 4. **II** - Assemble the workpieces by gluing. 5. **I** - Mark out and cut the top hole. 6. **III** - Finish off the artefact with glasspaper and apply lacquer. **(c)** (i) One type of adhesive to assemble the unit: 1. **Wood glue** – Provides strong bonding for wooden surfaces. (ii) Two types of fasteners that can strengthen the joint: 1. **Nails** – Help secure the pieces firmly. 2. **Screws** – Offer extra stability and durability.
