*Day 2: 9th of Dhul-Hijjah (Day of Arafah)*
The Day of Arafah is the most significant day of Hajj. Pilgrims proceed to Mount Arafah after Fajr prayer, where they make prayers and supplications to Allāh (SWT). The Standing at Arafah is the most essential ritual of Hajj, as the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Hajj is Arafah." Pilgrims stand at Arafah from noon (Dhuhr) to sunset.
During this period, pilgrims are recommended to make plenty of supplications, prayers, and seek forgiveness since it is among the best days of the year when prayers are granted and sins forgiven.
Following the sunset of the Day of Arafat, pilgrims proceed to Muzdalifah, where they combine Maghrib and Isha prayers and collect pebbles for later use in the stoning ritual. Pilgrims spend the night in Muzdalifah until Fajr.
