We are currently accepting applications for a PhD vacancy co-funded by the University of Exeter Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy. This project will focus on developing a prototype digital twin (DT) of a water infrastructure network (potentially also other systems) with some of the following functionalities: • Predictive modelling of hydrometeorological events • Enhanced preparedness and emergency response • Stakeholder engagement • Optimised planning, design, monitoring, and adaptation of infrastructure • Improved resource and asset management The goal of this position is to enable detailed analysis of climate impacts and optimisation of resilience strategies. The selected candidate is expected to start 1 October 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. They will be based at the Centre for Water Systems, within the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy, and will spend most of their time at the Streatham Campus in Exeter.
