When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) allowed Muslims to emigrate to Madinah due to persecution in Makkah, Abdullah and his entire clan, all of whom had accepted Islam, migrated with him. He had already migrated once to Abyssinia, but this time it was on a much larger scale. After they left, Quraysh leaders like Abu Jahl and Utbah ibn Rabi’ah searched the neighborhoods to see who had emigrated. Abu Jahl found Abdullah’s house empty and remarked on its beauty and value. He then entered it and took all its belongings. When Abdullah heard what had happened, he told the Prophet (peace be upon him), who comforted him by saying: "Aren't you satisfied, O Abdullah, with what Allah has given you instead, a house in Paradise?" Abdullah responded with full contentment and never felt regret about his sacrificed home again. π‹π„π’π’πŽπ: True faith involves sacrifice for the sake of Allah. What is given up in this world for Allah is replaced by something far better in the Hereafter. Contentment with Allah’s reward brings peace to the heart.
