Waalaikum Salam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh ๐ŸŒผ Mahr (dowry) becomes the full right of the wife once given โ€” whether itโ€™s money, property, or anything else agreed upon. Writing it down is not because itโ€™s not hers, but for *clarity, record, and protection* of both partiesโ€™ rights. *Why itโ€™s written:* 1. *Documentation* โ€” In case of disputes, the written mahr proves what was agreed. 2. *Witness* โ€” It confirms that the husband fulfilled his obligation. 3. *Islamic practice* โ€” Like other contracts (Nikah, loans, etc.), Islam encourages clear written agreements. (Surah Al-Baqarah:282 โ€“ write down contracts.) Itโ€™s part of maintaining justice and avoiding future misunderstandings. ~Allah knows the best๐Ÿค—
