Waalaikum Salam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh 🌼 Witr is not *fardh* (obligatory) but it is *wajib* according to the Hanafi madhhab and *sunnah mu’akkadah* (highly emphasized sunnah) according to other scholars. The Prophet ﷺ never left it, even while travelling. Missing it regularly without excuse is blameworthy, but there is no specific punishment mentioned. It’s a sign of negligence.
