Waalaikum Salam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh ๐ผ
In Islam, the *only two celebrations* that are clearly prescribed are:
1. *Eid al-Fitr*
2. *Eid al-Adha*
As for *Motherโs Day, Fatherโs Day*, and other such occasions:
- Most scholars say *Muslims should avoid* formally celebrating them because they are *not part of Islamic tradition*, and Islam encourages showing love and kindness to parents *every day*.
- *Posting about them* is also discouraged by some scholars, especially if it promotes or imitates non-Islamic traditions.
However, *being kind and appreciative* to parents and loved ones is always encouragedโjust not by dedicating it to a specific day like the non-Muslim world does.
*Balance*: Appreciate your parents regularly without turning it into a ritualized or annual celebration.
