🛑 A Shameful Incident at Al Badr School Karachi
On Monday, May 27th, 2025, a horrifying incident took place at Al Badr School that exposed the complete failure of the administration to protect its educators.
A student named Eishal Shahid, currently studying in Grade 8-B, arrived at the school not with books or purpose — but with her mother, her maternal uncle (a Sindh police officer), and her aunt. Their target? A respected teacher: Miss Sarah, Miss Maria who was teacher at the 9th grade
Without warning or explanation, Eishal and her family stormed into the classroom. In front of dozens of students, they slapped Miss Maria and dragged her outside, shouting loudly for another teacher: Miss Sarah, the Head of the Quran Department. and literally beating every teacher who is coming in front of them and schools's staff closed all the doors of the classroom locking all the students inside.
Why? Because a week ago, Miss Sarah had noticed that Eishal was bunking Quran class. Her only response was to give Eishal a light punishment — asking her to stand for a while.
Once outside, Eishal — with her mother and aunt — physically attacked Miss Sarah, pulling off her niqab in public, slapping her, and kicking her in the back. Other women joined in, beating her. Several other teachers were injured in the chaos, including the Head of Urdu Department, whose hand was bleeding cuz student bite it.
Shockingly, not a single male staff member intervened. And even worse — the five heads of the school, the very people responsible for maintaining discipline and protection, didnt come to protect them. NO ONE STOPPED THE ATTACKERS, NO ONE DEFENDED THE TEACHERS.
Eventually, external guards stepped in to remove the attackers and rush the injured teachers to a hospital.
But the betrayal didn’t stop there.
When teachers tried to file a police report, school management — including senior officers and principals — pressured them to stay silent, claiming “It will damage the school’s reputation.” They even tried to convince Miss Sarah to forgive and forget.
A school that protects its name over its teachers is not a place of education — it’s a disgrace.
A system that silences the abused and shields the guilty is broken beyond repair.
We stand with Miss Sarah, Miss Maria, and every teacher who was hurt — physically, emotionally, and mentally.
We demand justice. We demand action. We demand accountability.
