University of Narowal Celebrates World Environment Day with Enthusiasm Narowal, June 5, 2025 . The Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Narowal, in collaboration with the Directorate of Student Affairs, marked World Environment Day with a vibrant and engaging event aimed at raising environmental awareness among students and faculty. The event featured insightful addresses from key academic figures. Director Academics Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq inspired students with his remarks on the importance of environmental stewardship in the face of growing ecological challenges. The Registrar Dr. Haseeb Sarwar highlight the importance of Environmental Sustainability and encourage the students to play their role in pollution reduction. The guest speaker, Mr. Zahid Saqib, inspector Environment, environmental Protection Agency (HQ), Lahore shared valuable perspectives on sustainable living and community engagement in environmental protection. The highlight of the event was the address by the Vice Chancellor, Meritorious Professor Dr. Muhammad Younus Rana, who emphasized the university’s commitment to environmental sustainability and the critical role of academic institutions in shaping a greener future. Following the formal proceedings, the Department of Environmental Sciences organized an Environment Walk, in which students, faculty, and staff participated enthusiastically.
