Deputy Minister David Mahlobo is conducting an oversight visit at Brits Water Treatment Works (WTW) under Madibeng Local Municipality to assess progress on the upgrading of the facility this morning. He is accompanied by the MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, Gaoage Oageng Molapisi Executive Mayor of Madibeng Municipality, Mr Douglas Maimane; Traditional Leaders and other dignitaries. The upgrade project of Brits Water Treatment Works is worth more than R80 million funded by the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) through its Regional Bulk Infrastructure Grant (RBIG), and it is implemented by Magalies Water Board. Upon its completion, it is expected to benefit 75 373 households in the Brits area and surroundings. There is practical completion of the project structured into civil mechanical and electrical works. As of this month, civil engineering works are at 97%, mechanical engineering at 89%, while electrical engineering works stand at 70%. #cogtainaction #leavenoonebehind #nwpg #letsgrownorthwesttogether
