All four fishermen stranded about 13 kilometres off the coast of Pezali, Lamu, have been rescued and are receiving care at Chundwa Health Centre. Their fishing vessel had suffered mechanical failure after its propeller became entangled in a net. The operation was led by the Kenya Coast Guard, with support from the Kenya Red Cross, Kenya Maritime Authority, Lamu County Government, Beach Management Units, and the local community.
