BL. CARLO ACUTIS AND BL. PIERGIORGIO FRASSATI TO BE DECLARED SAINTS ON SEPTEMBER 7, 2025 The Vatican has announced a momentous occasion for the faithful: Blessed Carlo Acutis and Blessed Piergiorgio Frassati will be elevated to sainthood on September 7, 2025. Following a solemn Ordinary Public Consistory, Pope Leo XIV declared that these two exemplary young men will be formally recognized as saints, inscribed in the Register of Saints on the first Sunday of the month. Additionally, the Office for the Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff revealed that a group of blesseds will also be canonized on October 19, 2025, including Blessed Ignatius Choukrallah Maloyan, Blessed Peter To Rot, Blessed Vincenza Maria Poloni, Blessed María del Monte Carmelo Rendiles Martínez, Blessed Maria Troncatti, Blessed José Gregorio Hernández Cisneros, and Blessed Bartolo Longo.
