*TODAY'S REFLECTION* Jesus not only preaches but also practices his own teaching on non-violence. Inspired by this teaching, persons like Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela and Pope John Paul II were instrumental in bringing about revolutionary changes in their countries. What is so powerful about non-violence? Bishop Robert Barron observes that when a violent action is met by a non-violent response, it’s as if the non-violent person creates a virtual mirror in which the aggressor can clearly view and understand the brutality and injustice of his actions. That effectively stops the cycle of violence. Today, the world is filled with violence of many types – physical, emotional, social, financial, spiritual, etc. may the Holy Spirit enable us to give fitting non-violent responses to violent situations, to bring in peaceful change. *PERSONAL DEVOTIONAL* "The Lord is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we shall not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken". Psalm 46:1, 2 - Father, forgive me for neglecting to focus on the crown of life every day of my life. - Dear Lord, give me the grace to follow you till the end of my life. - Pray that every child of God should be conscious of the reward of eternal life which Christian race has to offer and work towards it. *Let Us Pray* Dear Lord, do not let me be separated from you because of hardship, persecution, hunger, poverty, danger or death. Help me to remain faithful to you in the mighty name of Jesus. *Memory verse: Matthew 5:39*
