Job Title: Fabricator / Welder Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding various metal structures and components used in building materials and heavy equipment repairs. The role requires precision, safety consciousness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols. Fabricate, assemble, and weld metal structures and components according to specifications. Use welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welders for structural fabrication and repair. Operate cutting machines, grinders, and other fabrication tools effectively. Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools. Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure quality standards are met. Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations during all work processes. Work closely with other team members to meet production deadlines and project goals. Repair and reinforce vehicle and machinery frames, containers, and platforms as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Job Requirements Minimum of SSCE / WAEC with relevant technical training or Trade Test Certificate in Welding and Fabrication. Proven work experience (3 - 5 years) as a fabricator/welder in a construction, building materials, or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of different welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately. Experience working with structural steel, iron, and aluminum is an added advantage. Good physical strength and stamina to handle welding equipment and materials. Must have knowledge of and adhere to occupational health and safety standards. Certifications from recognized technical institutions or NABTEB is an advantage. Ability to work with minimal supervision and willingness to work overtime when required. Preferred Attributes: Good teamwork and communication skills. Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic. Attention to detail and quality-focused.
