Iran Deems Nuclear Talks Futile
Iran's Foreign Ministry has stated that in light of Israeli assaults on Iran, the actions taken by the opposing side have rendered discussions on Iran's nuclear program irrelevant.
According to Iran's Tasnim news agency, Esmail Baghaei, the spokesperson for the country's Foreign Ministry, emphasized that it is impossible to simultaneously engage in warfare and negotiations.
The sixth round of discussions between Iran and the United States is slated to take place tomorrow, Sunday, in the Omani capital, Muscat.
Israel initiated attacks on multiple regions of Iran early on Friday, prompting a retaliatory response from Iran.
In the aftermath of the Israeli strikes on Iran, Iran's envoy to the United Nations disclosed that 78 individuals, including senior officials, lost their lives, and 320 others sustained injuries in the Israeli assaults.
Conversely, the Israeli newspaper, Jerusalem Post, also indicated that two individuals have been killed and 63 others injured thus far in the Iranian counterattack in Tel Aviv.
