Initial work on first phase of Kabul-Logar road finishes
The Kabul Municipality has announced the upcoming commencement of asphalt-laying on a one-kilometer stretch of the Kabul-Logar highway, spanning from Nejat Qali to Charkh-Aab.
Engineer Mohammad Hamid Sadat, overseeing infrastructure projects for the municipality, has stated that endeavors are underway to finalize the construction and operationalize the road within this year.
Stretching 7 kilometers in length and 60 meters in width, the road is currently under development, encompassing features such as sidewalks, flowerbeds, lighting, parking areas, road markings, and other components typical of a standard thoroughfare.
This highway, linking Khost, Paktia, and Logar provinces with Kabul province, stands as a vital economic and transit route in the southeastern region. Swift progress is being sought in constructing the subsequent segment from Charkh-Aab to Sang Nushta, recognizing its significance.
