Wheat production in Khost rose by 12 percent this year The Khost Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Maldai has reported a significant rise in wheat production this year within the province. According to Mustaghfar Grez, the provincial spokesperson, who referenced the Department of Agriculture, this year witnessed wheat cultivation across 18,595 acres of land in Khost. The harvest yielded 50,698 tons of crops, representing a 12 percent increase compared to the previous year. The surge in production has been credited to the provision of enhanced seeds and chemical fertilizers to local farmers. It is important to note that efforts to modernize agriculture have intensified across the country with the resurgence of the Islamic Emirate.
