*Voters brave cold to cast ballots in Insiza North constituency* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaD22E27YScxhpM8Re26 Story by Providence Maraneli INSIZA NORTH -POLLING stations in Insiza North constituency opened promptly at 7am today, to fill the vacant National Assembly seat. Despite the chilly morning weather, voters turned out in commendable numbers to exercise their democratic right across the 67 polling stations spread over the 12 wards of the constituency. The wards span two administrative districts Umzingwane and Insiza. The seat became vacant following the death of Cde Farai Taruvinga in March this year, prompting the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) to call for a by-election. In an interview with this news crew, the Matabeleland South Provincial Elections Officer, Mrs Rejoice Mthombeni, confirmed that all polling stations had opened on time and that the situation remained calm across the constituency. Four candidates are vying for the seat: Cde Delani Moyo of ZANU PF, Thabani Mlotshwa representing ZAPU, Independent candidate Leslie Dube, and Mr Mbongeni Moyo of the Zimbabwe National Revival Party (ZNRP).
