The World Bank has approved $300 million in new financing to enhance Tanzania's disaster preparedness and response, targeting approximately 1.9 million people.
The funding includes $100 million in budget support through Development Policy Financing and $200 million via a Catastrophe Deferred Drawdown Option from the International Development Association.
The initiative will enhance Tanzania's economic resilience and its ability to manage climate, fiscal, and disaster-related risks.
