#update Over 1,500 students across Malawi’s public universities have benefitted from the Kwera Education Fund since its inception in 2017, with 56 percent being female and 44 percent for male. Chimwemwe Commsy, Chief Operating Officer Kwera Fund has meanwhile tipped the youth to utilise available opportunities inorder for them to contribute to the attainment of Malawi 2063 aspirations of transforming the country into a wealthy and self-reliant, industrialized, upper-middle-income nation by 2063 through human development. She added that they have now opened a window for those interested to access the funds this year. Apart from financing studies, Kwera also provides laptops, monthly data bundles, internships and extra curricular activities for students, administered through an online tailor-made skills building programme that covers leadership, market innovation and entrepreneurship.
