*Pasban-e-Hurriyat will send demand of 50 thousand people to UN*
Muzaffarabad: Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Uzair Ahmed Ghazali has said that the demand of self-determination by Kashmiri citizens will be forwarded to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to resolve the Kashmir issue including the signatures of 50,000 citizens of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to details, he said that during their signature campaign, citizens of Azad Kashmir above the age of 18, holding identity cards, have demanded the right of self-determination from the member states of the Security Council by signing an open demand campaign.
He said that Kashmiri citizens have declared the state of Jammu and Kashmir an indivisible unity and reiterated their resistance against Indian military occupation.
He also stated that Kashmiri citizens have rejected the actions of the Indian Lok Sabha on August 5, 2019, the division of the occupied state of Jammu and Kashmir on October 31, 2019, and the biased, political decision of the Indian Supreme Court on December 11, 2023, as the worst attack on the state.
While talking about the document, he said that 50 thousand adult citizens of Kashmir have demanded the implementation of the referendum according to resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
"Kashmiri citizens have appealed to the United Nations, European Union, OIC, Amnesty International, Asia Watch to intervene in the Indian military war crimes, including torture on unarmed civilians, arrests, black laws, and fake encounters in occupied Kashmir.
He added that Lawyers, politicians, political activists, students, businessmen, scholars, government employees, and women from all walks of life have participated in this signature campaign.
He further said that a document containing 50,000 signatures along with identity card numbers will soon be sent to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres demanding freedom, right to self-determination, justice and peace on behalf of the Kashmiri people.
