𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗟𝗬 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘| The National Assembly has passed the Wildlife Conservation and Management (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 3 of 2023). The Bill sponsored by Hon. Captain Ruweida Mohamed seeks to amend the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act, No. 47 of 2013 to include sharks, stone fish, whales and sting rays among the wildlife species in respect of which compensation as a result of death and injury may be paid. This will ensure that persons who live along with water bodies are entitled to payment of compensation as a result of death and injury from the specified wildlife species.
