*World Health Assembly 2025: A Cameroonian Delegation Active on All Fronts in Geneva* _Since the official opening of the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva on May 17, the Cameroonian delegation, led by the Minister of Public Health, Dr. MANAOUDA MALACHIE, has been fully engaged in discussions and proceedings. Driven by the health diplomacy advocated by the President of the Republic, H.E. Paul Biya, Cameroon is demonstrating full commitment to all aspects of this high-level gathering._ *Involvement from Day One* The delegation is making every effort to vigorously represent the health interests of both the country and the African continent. From the very first hours of the Assembly, it took part in the Credentials Committee, marking the beginning of an institutional marathon. *Strong Presence in Plenary Sessions* The pace is intense: seven plenary sessions have taken place, each requiring active presence and technical contributions on topics ranging from global health governance to pandemic preparedness. Active Role in the Two Main Committees At the same time, delegation members are engaged in the two main working committees. In Committee A, they are involved in 14 sessions addressing health policies, social determinants, and prevention. In Committee B, 10 sessions are devoted to administrative, budgetary, and organizational matters, where Cameroon is making its voice heard. *Intense Participation in Parallel Sessions* And that’s not all. Beyond the formal proceedings, the delegation is actively involved in 24 parallel sessions and side events. These are strategic platforms for discussing bilateral partnerships, African initiatives, and collaborative projects with international organizations. In addition to their active presence at the main venue of the Assembly—where the delegation is deployed simultaneously across about fifteen working rooms—they are also supported by the Permanent Mission of Cameroon to the WHO, the WTO, and other international institutions. This valuable assistance enables them to participate in various parallel sessions scattered across the Geneva Canton, notably at the Intercontinental Hotel, the President Wilson Hotel, and the headquarters of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). *A Dynamic Health Diplomacy* In the corridors of the Palais des Nations, the activity of the Cameroonian delegation does not go unnoticed. Between meetings, consultations, and interventions, they are constantly mobilized—a true reflection of Cameroon’s commitment to global health governance. *A Vision Driven by the Head of State* This high-level presence is a concrete illustration of the proactive health diplomacy promoted by the Head of State and proof that Cameroon spares no effort in defending its vision of a fairer, more resilient, and better-connected health system. 🖋️ Clavère NKEN, Head of Communication Unit, Ministry of Public Health
