ADVERTISEMENT FOR RECRUITMENT OF PEOPLE TO PARTICIPATE ON A TWELVE-MONTH EXTENDED PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAMME (EPWP) CONTRACT City of Joburg, Social Development Department calls on unemployed residents to participate on a twelve-month contract to provide various support services as and when required for various units within the department. EPW participants are required to assist with Community Outreach Services, Hotspots interventions, Campaigns, Mapping, Data-collection, Minor Finance-process duties, Administration and Expanded Social Package (ESP). PEOPLE WHO MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE 1. South African Citizens 2. Matric or NQF Level 4 3. Ability to use a computer or type (basic software knowledge) 4. Ability to collect and, or capture data 5. Knowledge/ passion of working with Communities/ Displaced Persons/ Migrants/ Children/ Youth/ Women/ Elderly/ Persons with Disabilities/ Skills Development/ Substance Abuse Clients/ Expanded Social Package (ESP)/ Child-Headed Households or Demonstrate Participation in Field Services/ Door-to-Door Campaigns/ Blitz Operations and Financial Administration 6. Ability to perform general duties like carry stocks, packages and cleaning, 7. Be able to work independently and within a team 8. Must be registered on ESP Community Work Certificate/ Social Auxiliary Work/ Certificate in administration is an added advantage.
