BENEATH THE CITY LIGHTS CHAPTER 22 "MaZulu omutsha unjani?" Nkosana said after Pamela picked up the phone call. The way he called her with his surname caused butterflies in her stomach. God truly worked in mysterious ways. She was now here, as his wife even after their break-up. "Sakubona Sthuli sikaNdaba." She replied with joy, blushing. Nkosana also blushed and cleared his throat, "I felt like greeting my new wife, you know, linjan loZulu omncane khonapho , Mama?" "Sikahle thina boo. Just dying with joy ukuthi sesizohlala lodaddy wakhe." Pamela replied with her friends and cousins ogling at her. "Kuhle nxa kunjalo sthandwa sami. Sizakhuluma sengibizwa ngabadala. Ngiyakutha mina babe ungakhohlwa hanti." "Yes, babe, I won't forget. Love you ten folds more." She said smiling and hanging up. "It smells like love here, cuz. So, you're with someone who has money, right? Hook me up with his brothers; I'd love to meet them. Did you guys see those cars? Where did he find someone like that? He has great taste, doesn't he?" Purity, Pamela's slay queen cousin, said. "Hook you up how, exactly? You live in Cape Town, and your questions are endless. Calm down." Pamela replied laughing at her. Purity was that hyper, alcoholic cousin. "Angithi balemali? It's simple, we can make the relationship work," she said shrugging. Nisha laughed and said, "Ngubani ongakumela konke khonokhu... anyway, Pam, let's take pictures, I want to post." "Nkosana said we shouldn't post those pictures, sesabela ingulube yakhe ukuthi ingabona amapictures akhona." Lisa giggled and said, "Don't worry, we'll make our accounts private, and besides, she doesn't have Insta, so we're sorted." Luba agreed with her. They started taking pictures until Pamela's mother called her to serve her husband food. She went to give Nkosana his food whilst kneeling down, with Nkosana grinning like a Cheshire cat. The feeling was warm. In the next few months, he was going to be a father, and he now had two wives. This life was funny, indeed.   While eating, Nkosana received a call from Foundation of Hope, informing him about the attack Bathandwa faced from the case she was working on. They called to inform him that she's at Mater Dei Hospital, admitted due to a fatal fall causing a concussion on her head. Nkosana then called Pamela.   "Babe, can I rush back to Bulawayo?" Nkosana asked with a worrisome face . "Kulani khonale eBulawayo Nkosana, thina sitshada manje?" She asked with an angry face. "Babe, Bathandwa is admitted at a..." Pamela cut him short, getting more angry. Everything was about Bathandwa, every single time. Can't he think about her and her baby? He wanted to embarrass her now. "Awuyi mdawo Nkosana. Akafi uBathandwa wakho angithi. Every single time Bathandwa? Nxx ungabodlala ngami wena."   "Uthi nxx kimi Pamela? Uthi ngingahambi njani whilst she's hurt, Pam? I promise to make it up to you ngingahamba." He replied desperately. "Choose us or her, Nkosana. Learn to set your priorities straight. Asikayenzi ezinye izinto, but you already want to leave. Ungangifaki abantu, please."   "Okay, angiyi ke." He said with a worried face. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place, sibili. Was he doing the right thing? He loved Bathandwa despite marrying Pamela, and he was sure she's scared wherever he is. Very short but better than nothing.❤️
