1. *Under the initiative of Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam:* Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that Delhi government has set a target of planting 70 lakh trees this season to improve the city’s environment.
2. Good news for train passengers. The experience of travelling in trains in Indian Railways is going to change. Railway passengers will soon be able to enjoy travelling in semi high speed Vande Bharat train (sleeper) equipped with world class facilities. In the current financial year, the government has set a target of running 30 Vande Bharat sleeper trains. The first train will start running on the tracks by the end of July. Speed will be 160 kmph.
3. Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting & Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. L. Murugan, will inaugurate the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) for the Puducherry Legislative Assembly.
4. Many districts of Rajasthan are in the grip of severe heat and heat wave. Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded above 45 degrees Celsius in more than seven districts. The highest temperature of 47.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Sri Ganganaga.
5. Union Minister Chirag Paswan said that he is pursuing politics to make Bihar a developed state. Addressing a party rally in Arrah in Bhojpur district in Bihar, Mr. Paswan said he is working with the objective of “Bihar First, Bihari First”.

1. Drugs and cash of around Rs 55.52 crore seized in Manipur; five arrested: Indian security and enforcement agencies seized contraband valued at over ₹55.52 crore during a meticulously executed joint operation codenamed Operation White Veil.
2. Delhi Police has arrested 66 Bangladeshi citizens living illegally in the National capital’s Wazirpur and New Sabzi Mandi areas. All arrested illegal citizens are members of eleven families.
3. Senior IPS officer Vikash Kumar Vikash, who was among the five officers suspended by the Karnataka government following the Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede incident, has approached the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) challenging the state's order. The June 4 incident claimed 11 lives, while 56 people were injured.
4. The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI has arrested a member of Arambai Tenggol at Imphal Airport yesterday. He was involved in various criminal activities related to Manipur violence in 2023. CBI is investigating Manipur violence cases as per the direction of the Supreme Court.
5. Kolkata police on Monday evening arrested Wazahat Khan, who had lodged a complaint against social media influencer Sharmistha Panoli for allegedly uploading a video with communal comments.
6. Raja Raghuvanshi Case: Missing Indian bride arrested for allegedly murdering husband on honeymoon.
Police allege that Sonam Raghuvanshi, 25, hired killers to murder her 30-year-old husband Raja during their trip to the tiny north-eastern state of Meghalaya. Four men have also been arrested. The newly-wed couple from Indore city in the central state of Madhya Pradesh had chosen Meghalaya for their honeymoon. The couple had married on 11 May in Indore.
Sonam's father Devi Singh has defended his daughter saying "she is innocent and she cannot do this".

The Indian Army is set for a significant upgrade in its air defence capabilities with an imminent acquisition of three regiments of the indigenous Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile (QRSAM) system, valued at approximately ₹30,000 crore. This procurement, expected to be cleared soon by the Defence Ministry.
2. Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, who Pakistan contacted for a ceasefire during India’s strikes on Pakistani airbases in Operation Sindoor, has been appointed as the Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Strategy).
Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai will continue to serve in his current role as Director General of Military Operations (DGMO). The DGMOs are senior officials of Indian Army, usually of the rank of Lieutenant General, responsible for overseeing all military operations in India and along its borders.
3. The Indian Air Force (IAF) is poised for a significant leap in its operational capabilities as the Defence Ministry prepares to approve a ₹10,000 crore project for acquiring state-of-the-art I-STAR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance) aircraft.This initiative, expected to receive high-level clearance later this month, comes amid heightened military activity under Operation Sindoor against Pakistan.
4. Reliance Infrastructure is making a decisive move to strengthen its presence in India's defence sector by targeting the lucrative military aircraft upgrade market, with a projected opportunity of ₹5,000 crore over the next 7–10 years. This initiative marks Reliance Infrastructure as the first private sector company in India to independently execute a comprehensive aircraft upgrade program without being the original manufacturer.
5. The Kargil conflict commemoration this year will feature a new initiative. The Army will send representatives to the homes of each of the 545 armed forces personnel who lost their lives in the conflict.
