1. Indian Navy has achieved a major milestone in its quest for self-reliance by inducting the first-ever indigenously manufactured anti-aircraft gun barrels for its frontline Super Rapid Gun Mount (SRGM) systems. These barrels, now produced at the Field Gun Factory in Kanpur.
2. India is poised to make a significant leap in military technology with the imminent launch of the Extended Trajectory-Long Duration Hypersonic Cruise Missile (ET-LDHCM), developed under the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO) classified Project Vishnu. This missile is engineered to transform India’s strategic capabilities, particularly in the context of its security environment.
3. Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi conducted a significant two-day visit to Nagpur, focusing on detailed inspections of both government and private defence manufacturing units.
4. During Operation Sindoor, conducted between May 6–7, 2025, the Indian Air Force (IAF) reportedly inflicted significant losses on the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in one of the most intense air engagements in recent years. 1. Israel’s military launched a wave of strikes on Iran yesterday morning, targeting key nuclear facilities. According to Iran’s Tasnim state news agency, the assault also hit residential areas, injuring at least 50 people.
2. US President Donald Trump has once again called on Iran to reach a nuclear agreement with the United States, warning that attacks will only get worse. He further cautioned that the next planned attacks on Iran will be even more brutal if Tehran continues to resist diplomatic engagement.
