On the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed from Mina and chose the route known as Tariq al-Dabb. Before the boundary of Arafat lies Wadi 'Urnah, and before that is Jabal Namirah. This mountain marks the boundary of the Haram, and it has 22 Ansaabul Haram. The Majid of Arafaat is named Masjid Namirah due to this mountain. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reached near Jabal Namirah, he stopped there and rested for a while in the shade of a large rock beneath it. Afterward, he proceeded toward Arafat. His stay at this location, and the presence of the Ansaab al-Haram, causes an extraordinary HAIBAT, & divine light to descend upon Jabal Namirah. From a distance, the mountain shines like silver, and just by looking at it, one’s inner state transforms and tears begin to flow from the eyes. "No one knows Jabal Namirah today, because the sacredness and passion for the landmarks of Hijaz no longer exist." Its structure is unique—composed of large rocks that are very difficult to climb. One cannot understand how Ibrahim (peace be upon him) climbed it to place the Ansaab, but for Jibreel to ascend with him would have been easy.
