INTERNAL SECURITY: AK-47 RIFLE AND SUSPECTED STOLEN MOTORCYCLE RECOVERED IN KEANA LOCAL GOVERNMENT, NASARAWA STATE. The Nasarawa State Police Command reports a major operational breakthrough following a swift response to credible intelligence on criminal activity within Keana LGA. On June 7, 2025, at about 4:00 PM, the Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, received actionable intelligence regarding the movement of a suspected arms trafficker. Acting immediately, he directed officers of the Giza Division to initiate a targeted operation. A stop-and-search checkpoint was mounted along the Giza–Kadarko Road, where officers intercepted a suspicious individual on an unregistered Bajaj motorcycle. On being stopped, the suspect abandoned the motorcycle and fled into nearby bushes, escaping arrest.
