See how great a forest a little fire kindles! The tongue, as small as it is, can do the greatest good or harm depending on how you use it. While some have sadly talked themselves into trouble, others have used their tongues to chart their way to victory. To tame means to change from a wild state to become useful and obedient. Just as wild animals can be tamed and trained for entertaining performances, as seen in circus shows, so also can our tongues be tamed. Learn to use your tongue right by only speaking wholesome, inspiring, and edifying words. How? Train your tongue with the Word regularly as you diligently study your Bible and the Rhapsody of Realities for Early Readers. The more of God’s Word in your heart, the more your words will “…be with grace, seasoned with salt…” (Colossians 4:6). Remember, “your words show what is in your heart” (Luke 6:45 CEV).
