Solid to Gas Transition
The process is called sublimation.
Sublimation occurs when a solid changes directly into a gas without going through the liquid phase. Examples include:
- Dry ice (solid CO2) turning into carbon dioxide gas
- Iodine crystals turning into purple vapor
