Growth doesn’t always feel good.
Sometimes it feels like you’re losing everything.
You’re learning. You’re changing. You’re building.
And with that comes the uncomfortable truth: some people will leave.
And that’s normal.
The moment you start pushing yourself to be better, to level up, to make the moves you know you need to make, the people who were comfortable with the old you might not be able to keep up. They’ll fall away, and you’ll be left wondering: Is it worth it?
It is.
Growth isn’t just about getting smarter or building your career; it’s about evolving as a person. And not everyone can go with you on that journey.
Some people are meant for your past, not your future.
When you start setting boundaries, learning new skills, and aligning yourself with your goals, the people who are still in “old you mode” won’t know how to relate. And that’s okay.
You’ll feel alone. You’ll question if you’re doing the right thing.
But what you’re feeling isn’t failure, it’s evolution.
And growth always feels isolating at first. But it’s necessary.
Let them go.
The right people, the ones who see your growth, who cheer for you, and who align with your vision will show up when the time is right.
If you’re serious about leveling up, sometimes letting go is part of the process.
