LAND ADMINISTRATION AUTHORITY 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻 ×𝟮 The Authority seeks applications from qualified, competent, and highly motivated individuals to fill the following positions within the organisation. The positions is based in Maseru. They require good spoken and written Sesotho and English. A competitive and market-related remuneration package including non-contributory benefits is offered. Brief description of the position is provided below. Survey Technician (2) 𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞: The officer is responsible for undertaking land surveys and related field- and office-based tasks under the general direction of a Land Surveyor or the Manager Survey Services. 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: • Together with Land Surveyors and other Survey and Mapping Services staff, help to ensure efficient operation of the Department. • Under the supervision and general direction of the Land Surveyor or Manager Survey Services, perform field survey work using a variety of instruments and methods and undertake computations for the preparation of data and plans. • Perform other office-based tasks, such as input of survey data into the relevant data base, retrieval and printing of plans and maps as instructed. • Assist the Land Surveyor or Manager Survey Services to undertake field or office work related to all types of land surveys as instructed. • Undertake upgrading of skills as appropriate. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬: • Timely, efficient and accurate completion of assigned tasks. • Effective communication with other Survey and Mapping Services staff. • Accurately capture survey data • Competency in use of survey instruments Adherence to relevant standards and procedures. 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬: • Proper use and care of survey instruments. • Competency in the use of computers and office productivity software and preferably surveying software. • Ability to effectively undertake assigned tasks with minimal supervision 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬/𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞: • Diploma in Land Surveying, • Diploma in Civil Engineering with knowledge in surveying 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: • At least five(5) years relevant post qualification experience. 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: All applications must include a fully completed application form, a detailed CV with the names and contact details for three referees, educational certificates.
