Few individuals have the profound influence that @RahulGandhi does. He has taught me some of life’s greatest lessons. Not only is he one of the most compassionate and empathetic people I know, but he is also genuinely democratic. No negativity touches him - I pity the trolls - because those who spent all their waking hours attacking him - make no difference to him - none whatsoever. A relentless seeker of truth and a champion of justice, he fears nothing. He doesn’t sit on a high pulpit to preach - he is instead open to listening and encourages dialogue. There has never been an idea that I took to him which he hasn’t made better. Meetings with him are masterclasses in life’s deeper purpose. From him, I’ve learned to silence the noise all around and to look deep within. Most crucially, he has taught a vital lesson for public life: if you know your truth, what the world thinks or says about you does not matter. May you continue to inspire countless others and instill in them the sense of purpose you’ve given me - by just being you.
