President Museveni Meets IGAD Deputy Executive Secretary President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni today hosted H.E. Mohamed Abdi Ware, the Deputy Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), at State House Entebbe. The two leaders held a meeting focused on regional peace, stability, and cooperation. Discussions centered on IGAD’s ongoing efforts to address security challenges, strengthen integration among member states, and promote sustainable development in the Horn of Africa. President Museveni pledged Uganda’s commitment to supporting IGAD’s mission and enhancing collaboration to tackle shared regional concerns. H.E. Ware, a former President of Somalia’s Hirshabelle State, currently serves in a key leadership role within IGAD, helping drive policy and strategic dialogue across the bloc.
