President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah received a courtesy visit from Pan-African entrepreneur Mr. Aliko Dangote, CEO of the Dangote Group. President Nandi-Ndaitwah emphasised that the development of the African continent depends on value addition and African people taking initiative to improve the economic performance of the continent. Job creation, food security and economic growth are crucial for Africa to emerge as a respected continent, the President said. Furthermore, the President said that African entrepreneurs bear a significant responsibility in leading the continent's development and public-private partnerships remains critical to success. Mr. Dangote concurred with President Nandi-Ndaitwah, noting that if Africans do not harness their natural resources, they will remain untapped. Mr. Dangote emphasised the importance of harnessing natural resources and mentioned that his company has already invested in several African countries, while also expressing interest in making investments in the oil and gas sectors, including phosphate and fertilisers in Namibia.
