You are a beneficiary, follow instructions 1 Samuel 15:2 NLT — This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I have decided to settle accounts with the nation of Amalek for opposing Israel when they came from Egypt. Thank you Jesus for the love shown to us even though we didn't deserve it. Who could have shown us such kind of mercy, if not You? Thank you for the blood of Jesus. Thank you for the gift of victory we enjoy when in fact we could have been wallowing in defeat. Holy Spirit, speak to us, we are listening. Amen There are matters that the Lord wants to settle in your family that happened way before you were born. You might have knowledge of the same or not even your parents knew of. Matters that had to do with God's plan for his people. Remember what God said through Jeremiah 29:11 to Israel? God has plans for everyone he had chosen. He also had a plan of what to do with the Devil and his angels when the fullness of time comes. Therefore, you and I are beneficiaries of God's plan. However, there is a condition attached to us enjoying God's plan for us. Some of the victories you enjoy today are not of your effort. It could be God's plan being fulfilled during your time. But, for us to enjoy the full benefits, there are instructions we must follow. This is more the reason why I have stopped playing church politics because the one to loose more is me and not the denomination. Disobedience to God's instructions smells. I have no time to pick who does what in the vineyard because I am not the owner. Samuel could have had better candidates than Saul, but he understood who was in charge of the vineyard. OMG, this is deep. 1 Samuel 15:2 is greater than any of us. It was God who had decided to settle matters with the Amalikites. So, where do we come in? You and I are only vessels God wants to use. The question is, are we for or against God's plan? This is why it is dangerous to preach what you want people to hear at the expense of God's time to settle certain matters with the Devil through you. God wants to deal with sin which is blocking his people's access to his storeroom, and you are busy planning a sermon to preach about prosperity through religious contributions. No wonder why after a million of such sermons, the church remains a hub of poverty. There is a Saul who has led a huge army on a mission of disobedience. Do you think God didn't know that in Amalek there were riches? When Samuel confronted Saul at Gigal about the noise coming from the spoils, listen to Saul’s lie (verse 15). How many times have we brought spoils that are dirty and trying to appease God with it as an offering? Samuel, Israel already had sheep, goats, and cattle, how come you managed to differentiate the sound? Folks, there is nothing hidden before God. As you sit in that pew/bench, or office of authority, have you ever thought that you could be the one leading an army given the power to carryout God's plan against the Amalek? Our Amalek of our time are demons and evil spirits that are blocking the way for God's children to reach their promised land? Yet, you are busy collecting sheep, goats and cattle. Church, are our hands clean? Is 1 Samuel 15:15 not part of our worship? Sounds that are distorting what God wants to hear. God expects to hear John 4:24 coming from our worship rooms, but his ears have caught the sound of hatred, gossip, evil plans against brothers and plans to even kill brothers. God sent you on a mission to spread love in order to kill and destroy hatred that has been spreading roots in your family, what have you done in return? You are even hosting Agag the king of blockage. Repent before it is too late. Saul was 30 years when God chose him, and he ruled Israel for 42 years. But what is he remembered of? Reflect, if you were to die today, what will you be remembered of? Are you sure we are not missing the upper room experience because of 1 Samuel 15:15?
