*REJOINDER TO MALICIOUS STATEMENT ISSUED BY ONE “SG HAOKIP”* This is in response to the recent baseless and defamatory statement circulated by an unidentified individual using the name SG Haokip, targeting Mr. Michael Lamjathang Haokip, Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Manipur Pradesh, and a respected Thadou public leader. The content of that statement reflects not only personal malice but a deeper attempt to assassinate the character of a committed public figure, mislead the public, and distort the political reality of Manipur. We therefore issue the following rejoinder: 1. Official Appointment and Public Role: Mr. Michael Lamjathang Haokip was duly appointed as Spokesperson of the BJP, Manipur Pradesh, by Smt. A. Sharda Devi, State President of the party, with the formal approval of BJP National President Shri JP Nadda. His contributions are part of a national political mandate, not self-styled or regionally manipulated. 2. Tribe Identity and Political Clarity: Michael Lamjathang Haokip is a Thadou by tribe, not a “Kuki” in the political sense of the term currently used by extremist elements. He is not affiliated with Kuki supremacist, separatist, or militant-backed forums, and he has consistently stood for peace, constitutional integrity, and the rightful distinction of the Thadou identity. 3. The public deserves to know: Who is this SG Haokip? What is his full name? What organization does he represent? What is his tribe? Where is his office or contact address? If he has the moral courage and intellectual integrity, he is welcome to come forward for an open, civil, and factual dialogue with Mr. Michael Lamjathang Haokip in any public platform to show that he is mentally fit. Anonymous hit-jobs from behind social media screens or WhatsApp forwards deserve no place in serious public discourse. 4. Mr. Michael Lamjathang Haokip will continue to represent the voice of the voiceless, defend the distinct identity and rights of the Thadou people, and uphold the principles of justice, truth, and democratic nationalism.
